2024 BEACH BOOK FESTIVAL NAMES “INTERVIEW WITH DEATH” FOR
TOP HONORS
LOS ANGELES_ The story of a man who confronts death and the ramifications of
that condition is the top book in the 2024 Beach Book Festival, which
honors summer’s hottest reads.
Author V.K. Pasanen’s Interview with Death: Tales from the Afterworld Book 1
is the story of Nathan Miller, haunted by loss and obsessed with a vision of
Death, who passed on taking him for someone else.
Consumed by guilt, Nathan seeks solace in a devilish guardian angel, only to
spiral down a rabbit hole of addiction. At rock bottom, he’s faced with a choice
and a job offer from the Man in Black.
This page-turning novel evokes the best of Stephen King and Neil Gaiman, and is
a story of redemption and understanding which will make readers think.
